I hope that your day is going well. Deborah Nolley forwarded the Web site link for the African American Historical Association of Newton County to me, and I'd be very interested in getting involved, and also having my nephew, Rashaad getting involved as well. My parents are the late John W. (J.W.) Johnson and Dorothy Freeman Johnson. I live in Atlanta, but am still regularly in Newton County for church (Good Hope) and checking on all the family there. I look forward to the possibility of working with you and becoming a part of this organization.

What you guys are doing is great and will definitely leave something for the generations following. I have some photos of Washington Street and some activities that I will email you. When I was home in May I videotaped a conversation with my Mom who is 97 years old and a lifelong residence of Covington. When I complete editing it I will burn to a DVD and forward you a copy.Keep up the good work.

I've finally had a chance to visit the website. It's fantastic, one of the most user-friendly websites I've visited. The timeline and links to other sites and published materials will be very useful in my classroom. Please let me know how we can help. What a great opportunity!

I’ve been enjoying the information on the web site for the African-American Historical Association of Newton County, Georgia.
It’s very impressive. Cheryl Delk and Sheryl Christian both let me know about it. Sheryl mentioned the newspaper article.
Hope you’re summer’s been good. Look forward to seeing you in September.
